The change

What Is Payday Super?

Payday Super is the change, from 1 July 2026, requiring Australian employers to pay employees’ superannuation guarantee at the same time as their wages, rather than quarterly. Contributions need to reach the employee’s fund within a short period after each payday.

Much of this admin can be removed by automating payroll and super workflows and linking Xero or MYOB with your other systems. This calculator is not tax advice; see our disclaimer. Explore all free tool or visit our website home.

For many businesses, the main operational change is frequency: four super runs a year become 12, 26 or 52. This calculator focuses only on that administrative workload and the steps that can be automated. It doesn’t calculate super amounts, penalties or compliance obligations.
